Mariposa Microfluidic Manifold Our Automated Processing Instrument (API) utilizes a microfluidic mixing manifold to precisely mix and control the temperature of the fluid within the manifold.  Syringes on the API holding the cryoprotectants or restoration fluids are connected to the manifold.  These manifolds can be configured with inputs from 1 to 4 syringes. The  manifold allows the mixing of microliter volumes of fluids to deliver precise control of the osmolality during the cryoprotectant loading or during the reanimation phase preceding reintroduction into the cow or sow.   Embryo Holders The Embryo Holders (Straws) are designed for accurate processing of a single embryo, a series of single embryos, or multiple embryos at one time, depending on the user’s needs. Each straw includes a filter that holds the embryo stationary during processing and allows for the solutions to flow constantly around the embryo, oocyte, or blastocyst. This eliminates the need to move or handle the embryo(s) during the preservation, freezing, and thawing processes.
